ELEANOR

Hi my name is Eleanor. I found out about 5 years ago I had kidney disease. I have coped with kidney disease by putting my trust in God and taking it one day at a time. My faith in God and family is what keeps me going. My life with kidney disease has changed from being active with family and church. I would be active again and be able to see my grandchildren grow up and get married with a kidney transplant.

Virginia

I am Virginia Belken. I am 65 years of age and am a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. My kidneys began to fail about 20 years ago and I eventually ended up on dialysis. In turn, my health was deteriorating. A few years later, my daughter in law, Delia, was sent from heaven to embrace my family and ultimately gave me a kidney. This was a blessing for 16 years until my donated kidney failed and I had to return to dialysis. I am a great believer in God an ...

I am 61 years old. I consider myself pretty healthy and did annual check-up. In 2007, I found out I lost 70% of my kidney function within a year. I ended up staying in the hospital to do dialysis, and continued to do that since then. I do dialysis three times a week after work for 3 1/2 hours for each treatme ...

Polly

I am 44 years old and a single mom of 3 children ages 21,19 and 11. I was first diagnosed with kidney disease when I was 14 years old. My mother donated a kidney to me a year later. I was truly blessed that the kidney lasted 21 years. I was able to finish high school and college, get married and have 3 kids while my transplanted kidney worked beautifully the whole time. Unfortunately, I lost the kidney when my immune system surged during an episode of bron ...

I was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease just after I turned 35. I am now 44. As the disease progressed, I could no longer take care of my 2 daughters, and I had to make the difficult decision that they would be better taken care of by my ex-husband. Luckily, he and I are friends and work together to raise our girls. My daughters, Andrea and Katie, are my world. I fight for them, and I am asking that you consider donating a kidney to save my life. ...

Victor

Hi, my name is Victor and I am searching for a kidney. I have been on dialysis for 7 years. I am widowed. My wife died on September 6, 2013. It is difficult to live on dialysis alone, without companionship. My goal once a kidney is found for me is to get back to work. I\'ve always loved working and being a productive member of society. I want to earn my rest at night and not just be exhausted from dialysis. I am currently involved in church and the communi ...
